It’s never too early to start dreaming up BIG things for the New Year! I mentioned earlier this week wanting to update my little, home office space. As I will continue to work from home into the first quarter of 2021, I find myself eyeing some other updates and decor I want / need. I’ve been in a mood board phase lately, so here’s another home update board for y’all. Eager to see what 2021 brings us all!
MCLEAN : WEEK 4
This week was a big week for little McLean. He kicked things off with newborn pictures, and he was the perfect model. Thank you to Shonta Harper for capturing our sweet fella. I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos.
He’s officially out of preemie things (diapers, clothes, etc). In a week they will confirm his new weight, but I’m pretty sure he’s over 7 pounds now. He has been keeping his eyes open for several hours during the day, and they are still blue, and I’m interested to see if that changes in the coming weeks. He’s also found his feet and his hair, and likes to reach and touch both when hanging with Mom. He really loves stroller rides and kisses from his dog sister, Dottie. I see a lot of long neighborhood walks in our future, and I’m not complaining. Getting out of the house and a little Vitamin D is good for my health too.
And lastly, McLean helped me and Evan celebrate 3 years of marriage this week, and he’s the perfect anniversary gift. Evan asked me what I wanted, and I answered with, “I have everything I need right here”.
We are truly blessed!

What’s Happening!
It’s no lie, the countdown to the wedding is on and life is in full freaking swing. It feels like we are going a mile a minute, but we are trying to enjoy every second. Evan (aka my photographer) has been gone for almost a week working. Unfortunately no new photos to post, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a few things up my sleeve.
While we are less than 40 days from tying the knot, we’ve got a number of things going on here in Nashville. We are booked solid watching all of our favorite fur babies for the remainder of the summer, we are planning our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, and I am going full speed with Lex What Wear. Not to mention we’re putting finishing touches on all things bridal. I have one more dress fitting before the big day, and we have RSVP’s galore coming in.
Although it feels like I need things to slow down for just a second, it’s so much fun being in the middle of this chaos. I feel loved, happy, excited, nervous, and so ready for the next chapter of life. So what’s happening? A LOT! I decided to update you all with an Instagram round up, plus what’s still HOT and trending at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Don’t forget the sale is open to the public on Friday, July 22. You will want to be ready to shop and super organized. Thank goodness you have me to do that for you. Let me know if there are any questions you have regarding the sale.
So more of what’s happening! Here’s a little glimpse. Happy Manic Monday, y’all.
Lately I’ve been trying to spice up a few oldies in my closet to see if I still actually want to keep them in my closet. I think a mid-summer closet purge is a MUST. So if an outfit passes the “how would I style that now” test, it stays. If it hasn’t seen daylight in the past year, it goes. I’ve got a feeling I will be giving this little polka dot number a second chance!
We are 38 days from the BIG DAY! I’ve been really focusing on skincare and taking care of myself lately. Some of my favorite products are the SK-II Facial Essence, a nice long bath with bath salts, and some fresh flowers to brighten and lighten the mood.
Weekends spent in Nashville are truly so much fun. This weekend I took a “me weekend” since Evan was out of town. I went on a little adventure, went to the pool, drank a little wine, binged watched Real Housewives and ran some errands. This outfit made a trip to the farmer’s market a little more enjoyable. PS – take a “me weekend” whenever you can y’all. It’s truly amazing.
Another thing I tackled this weekend was putting away all of the gorgeous and wonderful gifts we have received from our showers. I reorganized and packed away all of the items we simply can’t wait to use. I’m also looking back on all of my wedding memories thus far, and feeling so lucky and grateful for all of those who are sharing in this time with us!
