Happy Thanksgiving friends! Today and every day I am thankful for this life I have been given, and all of the ups and downs that come with it. I am so fortunate to have a loving family, a wonderful husband, a solid group of friends, and a wealth of opportunities that allow me to succeed and fail, learn and grow. I’m incredibly thankful for this outlet that gives me a chance to connect with the world, through a creative voice and a passion that runs deep in my veins. I am even more thankful that you all take the time to read my posts, follow my journey, and cheer me on to new adventures. I feel like I can’t say thank you enough, but I will try. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
Thanksgiving Day Style
There is so much to be thankful for this year. It’s been a heck-of-a year, to be honest. Evan and I have seen a lot of change and challenges, but we’ve come out stronger, better, and extremely grateful for where we are and what we have. These pictures represent the happiest day of our lives and of 2016. This Thanksgiving I can’t seem to find the words to explain the gratitude I feel for life in general. The obstacles life hands us and the blessings it provides us make us who we are. I’m grateful for all of them in their entirety. So I say to all of you, THANK YOU. To the people that read this, to our friends and to our families, THANK YOU. What a time it is to be alive and to give thanks. May you all have the best and most blessed day today. I wish each of you so much happiness and joy.
THANKSGIVING DAY STYLE
SWEATER | JEANS | BOOTS (only $39.99)
Thanksgiving is the perfect day to wear the biggest, oversized sweater you own. So that’s just what I’ll do! This sweater has been one of the MOST pinned items I have ever posted. I believe I linked to a similar style sweater four years ago HERE and it’s been a popular style since. So I figured why not give this updated version a spin. Here we are on Thanksgiving Day 2016, and I’m digging this oversized sweater like nobody’s business. Today is all about lounging around, laughing with friends and family. There is no easier outfit to do that in than this. I admit that I’ll probably kick off these boots as soon as I have my first drink, but there’s no shame in that. Enjoy your day, and have a glass of wine (or two). Cheers!
XO, Alex

Get ready for Turkey Day in style this year! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite home goods / accessories for holiday shopping on a budget. Let’s not forget, most all of these items can be used again for Christmas and recycled for next year. Not only are the place card holders, and yum placemats perfect for your dinner table, but dress up your living room with the most comfortable blanket EVER. The decorative wood box is essential for storage during the holidays, and duh, you need a fall wreath. Let’s get shopping!

Thanksgiving Countdown Pt. 1
Let’s Start Talking Table Decor
Gather, Eat, Drink, & Give Thanks In Style
With a little under a month left until Thanksgiving (no pressure), I’m trying to get in the spirit ahead of time. Again, no pressure… but who doesn’t love a good table-scape? During the holidays when we’re all together again, the table is essentially where the gathering starts and ends.
So make it fun, and make it inviting. Most importantly, make your table special. Below I’ve gathered a few ideas to get you started. First things first, don’t spend too much money. Be resourceful and use what you have in a new creative way. When you look closely, each of these tables below are pretty simple with a few tools and a little arts and crafts time. Now let the Thanksgiving countdown begin!
