Since Evan’s surgery (March 19th), life has looked a lot different around here. Not a bad different or a great different, just different. We’re still waiting for a sense of normalcy to greet us, but until then, we’re back on the daily grind. Or I am at least… trying to work while one of our parents takes their turn at helping us out around the house.
Thankfully for amazing friends and family that support us, we have the most generous meal train that keeps me out of the kitchen, and focused on work and helping Ev. Speaking of Ev, I couldn’t be more proud of him. He is walking and moving around with strength and determination. He is slowly but surely, gaining the confidence to do so many things on his own. So he’s back on his grind of sorts too.
Today we meet with the doctors for the first time since surgery, and I can’t believe it’s already here. His stitches will be removed and he will get a good look-over from the neurosurgeon’s nurse. Minus a few questions, we are so excited for his progress thus far and we know his doctors will share in that excitement with us.
I can’t thank all of you for your love and support over the past few weeks and months, and the weeks and months ahead of us. God is so good.
