NYC designer, Katie Bartels is chasing after her dreams one gem at a time. She’s a new friend in the city who has inspired me to be more passionate about chasing my dreams.

From the beginning, Katie has made her mark in the jewelry world with unique taste and style. She started her first company in 2007, and soon after she left her job at a New York City law firm to pursue her passion for jewelry design full-time. In the summer of 2010, katie received a graduate gemology degree from the gemological institute of america. She now creates and designs her collections out of her Manhattan studio, and seeks inspiration from her world travels and love of color.

I wanted to share a piece of Katie’s story with all of you because I’ve found that her drive and passion to follow her dreams is more than influential. I think we can all relate to having BIG dreams in life, but only the dedicated transform dreams into reality.
