THINK TRAVEL CELEBRATE CHARM DECORATE DRESS LIVE COLORFULLY – Kate Spade
#TGIF y’all! Let’s get this weekend started in style, of course. Lately I’ve been inspired by bold colors, a few style icons, and fashion books I’ve collected over the years. My interior decorating skills are not professional enough to blog about, but my research and design ideas may be.
With a little imagination, the fashion obsessed have sought out their most beloved style collectables and one-of-a-kind purchases to rework their home decor. Call it decorating with fashion if you will, but it’s simply taking your everyday items and creating art. Some did this years ago and some may never do this, but I’m keeping my eye on the trend and doing some reworking of my own.
I usually organize my inspiration by color, cost, theme, etc., but I thought I would share a few things/ideas that I’m currently loving, and a company that I have a huge fashion crush on. Share your thoughts below, and ENJOY!
One of my favorites, I See Noise Prints on Etsy. These original, handmade prints look ah-mazing no matter how you style them! Make sure you check them out on Instagram too @ISeeNoisePrints
Fashion & style books can be the best decor accessory you’ve ever had. Spruce up your coffee table, night stand, or hall way entry with some of your favorite reads, and fresh flowers and you have yourself a beautiful display.
Try one of these books for your next coffee table display. Or if you simply feel like reading a good fashion book, these are great options: BAZAAR Greatest Hits – Style Book – A to Z of Style – VOGUE The Editor’s Eye.
Don’t just keep those gorgeous shoes in your closets gals… display them! If your hubby says no, do it anyways. They cost enough to be the centerpiece of your dining room table if you ask me. That may be saying a little too much, but take a few hints from above. Organize them by style, or use them as a book topper on one of your shelves. #BeCreative
Lastly, just like those new pair of pumps collecting dust in the back of your closet, your jewelry is art too. Come up with a neat way to showcase your favorite gems and pieces. Tree branches, old bottles, martini glasses, and wall hooks all work in my apartment. With any of these tricks, you’ll be sure to notice all of your bling!
