Jewelry is an accessory that works for anyone – and everyone. It’s an accessory that comes in many shapes, sizes, and colors. It’s an accessory that has no boundaries and very few rules and guidelines.
It’s no lie that I am a fan of bling, and lots of it. When shopping for jewelry I “Go Big Or Go Home!” I like to say I get this from my grandmother, who often wears so much bling it blinds you. Her collection is gorgeous. And the way she wears this accessory has always been an inspiration to me and an inspiration for how I pick the pieces I wear.
Obviously, jewelry comes in a variety of price ranges. Buying the best quality for the price is your ultimate guideline for jewelry purchases. Next, when buying jewelry buy for the occasion. Buy pieces for specific outfits, specific events you plan to attend, or to go with any ole’ occasion. Splurging is OK, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking a piece of jewelry has to be expensive to be pretty or to fit a specific occasion.
While I visited Atlanta last week, retail “jewelry” therapy was on my to-do list. My first stop of course was Golden Stella. Here are a few things I fell in love with for the season.
1. Colorblocking
2. White After Labor Day
3. Geometry
4. Jewel Tones
5. Shades of Green
6. Bold Beads
7. Collars
P.S. – One of these pieces will be given away at the end of the week! Keep watching for details on the next Lex What Wear giveaway.
