#TGIF yet again. Feature Friday is back, and this time we are getting a guy’s perspective on things. Travis Robinson has kick-started a heck of a business with Kentucky’s very own Small Batch Apparel. His work and his dedication are inspirational, so make sure you give this guy a pretty good look and a whole lot of credit. Now onto Small Batch Apparel… (@smbatch)
“Kentucky and horse racing go together like a wink and a smile. We cannot think of a grander stage that showcases Kentucky than the site and scene of the track. From the brilliant horses to the fine bourbon, Kentucky’s flawless backdrop is an inspiration for all that is Small Batch Apparel.” -Travis Robinson.
When I first met Small Batch Apparel’s main man Travis Robinson, I noted his ambition, drive, and desire to make this product succeed. Born and raised in Kentucky, Travis grew fond of the track and horse racing early on. About 10 years ago, his passion for the biggest Kentucky tradition turned into an inspiration and later a brand and successful business venture. What drives Small Batch Apparel is what is driving Kentucky today. The inspiration behind the brand is not only incorporating Kentucky history and tradition, but it is honoring those traditions that make Small Batch Apparel special, memorable, and long-lasting.
Robinson and his company set out to capture the charm of the trac, and celebrate the customs of horse racing around the world. Robinson produces products in limited quantities, much like small batch Kentucky bourbon. You can find anything from polos, bow ties, ties, T-shirts, hats, sunglass retainers, and koozies, aka “SWAG.” (You can shop Small Batch Apparel online or at the Keeneland Shop.)
I must say I am honored to know Travis, and I admire his brand and his success thus far. Starting a business like this takes a lot of guts and hard work day in and day out. His product is fabulous, and his will to succeed is even greater. If I were a dude … duh, I’d be wearing it.
In the words of Small Batch, “Please Wear Responsibly!”
