A range of gray shades from white to black as used in a monochrome display

Monochrome fashion is one of those classic trends that will never fade in fashion. Shades of black, white and gray are obviously among the most popular monochrome fashion trends… which suits me just fine! But as of recent, many solid brights are making their move to become the top ranking monochrome shade. For the moment, I’ll stick with my neutral pallet and shade this outfit in 100 percent gray scale.

The key to neutral monochrome fashion is accessorize appropriately. I’ve done so by adding statement jewelry and a basic coat of lipstick. Introducing a hint of bright color and a piece of jewelry allows the shades of black and gray to pop, but not to be outdone.

For my day to day wardrobe this look is functional. I chose to photograph the outfit how I actually wore it walking around the city since wearability and function are key. Now I could easily pair this outfit with leather accessories, or consider adding a full length pant for a long and lean look. But to capture the realness of the trend, I chose to show you my basic day time ensemble.
