Wedding bells rang this past weekend for a beautiful couple, Katie and Dom. The special, outdoor occasion took me and my very stylish beau to Louisville for a fabulous celebration of love, family and friendship. Oh, and just a little bit of style-spotting action took place as well.
The bride made her grand entrance in a gorgeous strapless gown, accented by a beautiful pink bouquet. The bridesmaids wore matching pink dresses with black accessories and shoes of their choice, adding a touch of personal style to the short and sassy number. The groomsmen sported some fancy duds themselves, with all black suits and that vibrant pink in their ties. The ushers, with their pink bow ties, suspenders and shades were quite a sight to see. And last but not least, the flower girl and the ring bearer provided an “awww” moment of the ceremony in their white and black ensembles, which of course were accented with pink. If you’re wondering about the groom … well, I couldn’t get a good picture of him, but he was, indeed, dashing in an all-white tuxedo.
The wedding was full of color, brilliant decor and personal style. Everyone was dressed comfortably for the outdoor ceremony. There was a range of short and long dresses, bold summer colors, mixed prints, high, high heels and statement necklaces (which we know I love).
The reception got under way at the Mellwood Arts Center with a grand entrance by the wedding party. Each group entered to their song of choice and helped welcome the new husband and wife to the reception. Let’s just say, the dancing began early.
The bride and groom shined the entire evening, and every last detail fit their personalities to a T. Check out the personalized, high-top Chucks (which were a big hit) below.
Lastly, Congrats to Katie and Dom, and cheers to all those summer weddings and the fun that goes along with them.
