Little White Vest

A classic black and white look will always be a go-to. Today I’m mixing a few masculine and feminine elements together to create a winning outfit. Starting with this little white vest, I love its simplicity, structure and clean silhouette. Mixing the vest with a pair of distressed denim and a fun heel, I’m adding bit of playfulness to my look. This outfit now takes on a more casual style.

I don’t get dressed up often, so I typically try to incorporate pieces that are versatile for any kind of event. The mix of structured and not structured is my favorite part of this look. By pairing the vest with these jeans, I have an outfit I can easily wear out on the town, to a blog meeting or event, or for a dinner date in Nashville.

The play on hard and soft in fashion is pretty simple to do. Follow suit by styling some of your favorite pieces that generally aren’t worn together. For instance, try a blazer with a tee, and a pair of joggers. You can add a heel, a cute clutch, toss your hair in a bun, and you’re good to go. You can also take a daytime dress and throw on a pair of clean sneakers. This pairing is one of my favorites.
