This past week has been one of the most powerful, memorable and impactful in my lifetime. It hasn’t been about me for one second. It’s been about genuine and uncomfortable conversations, heartfelt stories and listening to other’s pain. It’s been about reflection, and how we can stand together for change by demanding change. It’s been about education, and figuring out how we can continue this important dialogue for our children and future generations.

I don’t intend to stop the conversation over here on Lex What Wear. I hope to teach my children what justice & equality looks like, and he will stand tall with all of you as we VOTE for the right leaders, and finally have peace for black lives in this country. This is my pledge to you!

NO MORE SILENCE

We must become the change. I use this small platform to speak to things I believe in, with the hope of sharing a positive message to followers, my friends, my family, my neighbors, my community, and anyone and everyone. Not only do I share here, but I learn here.

Over time I’ve learned that whether 2 people see this or 10,000, any silence is deafening. I pray every night that this World does what is RIGHT. I pray my son grows up to see no color, to stand alongside of his friends and his community who are hurting, and speak up against racial injustice. I pray that he fights without hesitation for equality. Who am I to pray for this if I don’t do the same? I am here to say that I stand with you. I won’t be silent. I won’t be afraid to fight for what is right. I will continue to learn from this, and listen to your anger, pain, and frustrations. I will do whatever I can to help be the CHANGE! I am with you!
