New Year, New Makeup

Happy New Year everyone! I played hooky from the blog world yesterday to do a little post-NYE relaxing. Feeling rested and inspired to kick off 2013 with a bang, I’m back in full action today and ready to share a few tips for tackling hair, beauty, and fashion trends for the new year.

Coming up in the next few months I will be taking a lot of cues from the runway and our favorite, top designers. Thanks to the catwalk from Fashion Week – Spring 2013, we can now mix up our makeup for subtle or strong looks which introduces a whole lot of innovation and personal taste.

The makeup trend is up to you, calling for a choice of more or less. As the spring shows offered us both options, the balance of the two is simply gorgeous. It is true to say that bare is always beautiful, but so is a touch of bold color on the face.

I’ve put together a mix of my favorite subtle and strong makeup looks to help get us started this year. Play around with color and emphasize the features you like the most.
