What I’m Wearing… a mix of masculine and feminine with a hint of leather and a bold print. I took a few pieces out of my existing wardrobe to channel Nicole Miller Fall 2013. Here’s the pieces: NY&Co. Leather Jacket, Zara Bow Top, Forever 21 Pants, Aldo Booties.

I must say that nothing can prepare you for a New York winter snow storm, wet hair, messy make up, and slushy snow shoes, but Nicole Miller turned the storm outside into a beautiful show inside. It was good girl meets bad boy when her “menswear with a twist” fall collection hit the runway. Her fall wardrobe consisted of raiding your boyfriends closet for those key tailored elements.

Nicole took a step back from her typical fitted dresses and mermaid gowns. She welcomed the idea of downtown chic with modern, masculine separates. It was black on black… on black. Her collection was packed with leather jackets, cigarette pants, moto vests, deep colored blazers, and bold pattern and fabric mixing. We even enjoyed a few looks capped off with gorgeous fedoras.

With Nicole and several other menswear-inspired designers, we’ll be keeping it structured, crisp, and cool for fall 2013. Here’s a few of my favorite looks from the runway…
