Kicked Off Fashion Week

With A Big, Stylish Bang

This Fashion Week I’ve decided to focus more time on one-of-a-kind / special moments, rather than running around, reporting show after show. So far it has paid off tremendously. I don’t want to give too much away before this week’s posts are published, but it has been the best New York Fashion Week EVER!

To kick things off, I RSVP’d “Hell YES” to attend the Old Navy + Joe Zee party on Thursday night. To say I wouldn’t be thrilled beyond measure to meet Mr. Joe Zee, would be the biggest lie. {If you aren’t aware, Joe Zee is one cool dude. He formerly was the Creative Director of Elle Magazine, and now holds the title of Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Style. He’s also designed top advertising campaigns for DKNY, H&M, GAP, Kenneth Cole, Banana Republic and Chanel.}

I’m also leaving out a few other key factors to this evening. One, being the short appearance of Katie Holmes (who I said “hi ” to and she replied, “hi” with a warm smile). Two, being surround by the TOP bloggers and a few great pals in the industry. Lastly, I was pretty pumped that Flash Tattoos would be at the event. Have you seen their stuff? I am totally obsessed!

Needless to say, my RSVP paid off and I had a fabulous time meeting and greeting some very influential people in my world, and sharing a few cocktails with gal pals from all over the US. Blogging can be a bit much for me sometime, but the connections I have made and the sights I have seen make every detail worth it.
