NYFW Update: A Look Ahead

Hello Spring 2013 Kate Spade! Yes, we are already talking spring even though we’re just entering fall. But part of understanding fashion is accepting it all happens a season ahead of time whether we are ready for it or not.

This year recognizes the 20th anniversary season of Kate Spade New York, and New York Fashion Week (NYFW) was just the start to a celebration worth noting. Kate Spade has been an iconic name in fashion for over a decade, and I absolutely adore her creative director Deborah Lloyd and her high-spirited vision that incorporates such ladylike looks. Not to mention, Kate Spade stylist Brad Goreski is on my list of top 10 stylists to meet. He is #FABULOUS.

Collaborations and stylist contributions are only a portion of the Kate Spade design world. Kate Spade Spring 2013 is looking fierce, colorful, bow-dacious, and a bit on the daredevil meets ladylike side. I couldn’t be more excited for the florals, bold graphics, and pops of shocking colors. My inner-Kate Spade is most pleased with the introduction to well-placed bows. Dainty and delicate bows made their mark on the runway, and thanks to Kate Spade, bows come in all forms of dress: bows on shoes, bows on bags, bows on bangles, bows on blouses, pants, and dresses… you get the idea. Let’s just say, I may be starting my bow collection way before spring 2013 is actually here.
