Pin Me!

Inspiration can be anything you want it to be! I often find words and phrases that encourage and motivate me, and I often find old keep-sakes that remind me of how incredibly blessed I am to gain inspiration for big challenges. I think inspiration is fuel that keeps you going through life. And I recommend anyone to take an hour or two and try creating a real-life pin board. (Not a Pinterest board)

Although my personal board has a lot of fashion and style touches to it, yours can literally be whatever you want it to be. Think about these questions: What really gets you thinking? What encourages you to be better and do better? Who or what lights up your life?

No I am not a motivational speaker, but I wanted to share with you all this little DIY (if you even call it that) I started on the weekends. I haven’t finished, but I have a good start, and I’ve actually felt more influenced and inspired to continue this dream of mine. It took me away from the computer and back to the things that got me here. My board includes personal notes, family pics, things from back home in KY, and little phrases that remind me to KEEP GOING!  As time here progresses, I plan to change up the board and find new inspiration…

So let’s get down to the basics. First I sought out inspiration from others, and then I sorted through the things I had in my apartment that I found motivating. Once you have started this process all you need is scissors, push pins, and a board to pin to. And like me, you can have a little helper join the fun! (Project under $30!)

Give it a go & make sure you tweet me your pics @LexWhatWear!!
