It’s as easy as 1-2-3! The shift dress is the summer’s simplest trend to follow and I’m more than ready to show you all how to shift your shapes for day and night with this basic, but fun frock.
If you’re interested in a fashionable and easy-to-execute wardrobe option this summer, you’ll be rejoicing the shift dress. The feminine silhouette still channels a retro feel similar to that of Twiggy, while looking chic and modern in leather, electric colors, and abstract prints. I often look to stars like Olivia Palermo and Kate Bosworth for shift-dress inspiration.
Stop thinking moo-moo’s and think of a new, modern shape. If you’re waistline needs a little definition, these shift dresses look understated yet classic with a simple belt. You can also give your legs great definition by pairing your dress with a summer wedge or pointed heel. Also, don’t forget to play with color. Shift dresses are so fun for the season, you can find them in nearly every bright hue out there.
