This past week I’ve been spotting out some of my favorite styles for spring 14. The anticipation of the start of a brand new season has been killing me, so I’ve been conducting little trend forecasting of my own. With help from my favorite websites, WWD and events like Coterie, I feel as if I’ve already mapped out my wardrobe for the entire year.

But for starters, we will start looking at some key statement pieces for spring. I’ll be highlighting a few each week for all of my Lex What Wear readers to try at home. This week, I’ve created a complete look around one piece: a high-top sneaker. The basic black sneaker is everywhere right now, and I can’t wait to find the perfect pair for me.
