Weekend Beauty Beat

#TGIF. Fall/winter 2012 make-up trends are big, bold, and beautiful. The runways and magazines have told us one thing; the bigger the better and add a touch of sexiness too. Below, you will see my top three makeup musts for the season. I highly recommend practicing before perfecting the looks. But go for it y’all, and own your look head to toe!

→ Feeling Feline

Cat eyes are back, all the way from the 1950s glam era when wing-shaped eyeliner was totally in, effortlessly chic, and the trend to follow. All eye shapes can pull this one off! The cat eye enhances the eye color and appears demanding, yet very simple at the same time.

 → Seeing Red

Let’s think big and red. And no, I am not talking about the soda. Matte red lips are a way to up the ante on your style. This season you can mix and match your shades of red to get that perfect, dramatic lip color. The key is to kiss it off after you first apply onto a tissue. Apply a second layer of your color choice, and you will make it through the evening, drinks and all.

 → Being Larger Than Life

Big lashes are flirtatious, feminine, and captivating. Full lashes come from practice girls (or out of a package if they’re falsies). Knowing how to work the mascara is the most important part of application, no matter the price or brand. To achieve full lashes you want to make sure you coat the corner lashes, which are often missed when applying mascara. Most importantly, keep your mascara clean and avoid clumping and smudging. Wipe the access mascara off before applying a second coat for more thickness.

My top beauty brands: MAC, Sephora, Clinique, Ulta

Now go celebrate… because it’s finally the weekend. Have a good one!
