Running errands – blog work – birthday celebrations – Discover Pique outreach – city exploring – grocery trip – etc…  the weekend to-do list is always a bit lengthy, but it makes for a great excuse to dig into your closets and find those pieces that work for day-time casual. Now I do enjoy getting dressed up a bit for Saturday nights, but my day-time look for the entire weekend is based on casual-chic inspiration.

So I decided to share a casual weekend look that’s easy to pull off with a few wardrobe basics. I know most of you have some similar basics, so give your weekend wear an upgrade and think: Casual-Chic! My casual-chic inspiration stems from the fact that I’m  still dreaming of spring. So to enhance my dreams I’ve started to bring out fun-colored accessories (check the necklace) and some spring essentials: leggings (always), a touch of lace, and a streamlined denim. Not to mention I’ve been super-pumped to wear my sunnies, because it’s finally sunny!!

I also wanted to share with you all another sort of “inspiration” that seems to get me through these cold, rainy/snowy days… No matter how over the winter weather I have become (or you have become), I continue to remind myself that life is simply better when you smile and enjoy it! Don’t you agree? No matter where you’re located, these are words to live by. When you think of it, just smile.
