This is the first mother’s day in 4 years that I have been home to celebrate with my sweet Momma. She is the cutest, most caring woman I have ever met and I am lucky to call her my best friend. I find myself very fortunate to have a mom who doubles as my #1 fan, my teacher, mentor, and bestie through everything in life. We haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but I owe it to the challenging times, for bringing us to where we are now.

This fun #Styled6Ways post is all about celebrating Mother’s Day in style. Around here, we always have Mother’s Day brunch, and it’s pretty casual. We tend to spend the day outside, laughing, drinking and being with family. We also enjoy helping Mom around the house. For brunch, I like to wear something pretty, yet functional and easy. This year I picked an AKIRA strapless floral number.

Paired with my favorite blue earrings and comfortable heels, this dress will be perfect for the entire day with Mom. From the kitchen to the backyard, I can slip out of my heels and into the garden to lend a hand.

I’ve also styled one of my best summer handbags from GiGi New York with this dress to pull out some of the light and pretty colors in the floral print. Anything pink is good in my book!

This dress is a major WIN for not only Mother’s Day celebrations, but for the entire Summer season. It’s going to be at the top of my list to wear again.
