What I’m Wearing: Forever 21 Top (Similar HERE), Gap Pants (Similar HERE), Lucky Shoes (Similar HERE), H&M Necklace (Similar HERE).

We already know that I’m a southern, Kentucky girl, but I’ve decided that there’s no better way to get ready for the Kentucky Derby (and my first ever NYC-Kentucky Derby party) than with a touch of equestrian style.

Okay… so I know this isn’t really the true Equestrian style many of you would refer to, but upon first sight I knew this horse-graphic tank was coming home with me. Graphic tees/tanks of all kinds are sweeping stores by storm this spring, and who knew that horse heads & equestrian graphics would be amongst the most popular?

Much to my surprise, stores like Forever 21 have been packed with equestrian graphic tops and blouses. It’s perfect timing if you ask me (obvious hint: DERBY). While this is a super-cute look that I will rock on the streets of the city, I would not recommend wearing a get-up like this to the track! This top and ones similar are perfect for those casual spring days. My tip: Have fun with it!! 

Disclaimer: do not worry because this fall and pre-fall I’ll be sporting the highly-coveted, true equestrian style that took over the runways all across the country this year… yes that means tartan scarves, bridles, and more folks!
