I’m two days shy of my BIG weekend with my girls on the lake! I’ve been excited for this Bachelorette party weekend for a long time, and I’m so excited it’s finally here. It feels like the past six months have been a complete whirlwind, and I know the next two months will go by even faster. I’ve been preparing my mind and my body for the lake, the beers and the fun times ahead, so I decided to put together a quick roundup of Bachelorette Party Essentials for all of you brides-to-be out there! If you’re going to the lake or the beach, this will be perfect for you!
I chose the lake over a big city or a beach because I wanted to be present in every moment, completely in my element, and I wanted to remember this time with my best gals. After living in a big city, and going on numerous bachelorette parties, my time as a bride is solely focused on relaxing, kicking back and laughing at myself. I highly recommend a lake-weekend trip if you’re in the midst of planning one. My MOH has done the BEST job organizing and planning ahead for this weekend, and I can’t thank her enough for all she has done. So let’s get to it!

Pack your basics for the lake, this is a given ladies. I plan to be in my favorite cover up, a cute swimsuit, and my best accessories. Although I don’t normally wear my “best” anything to the lake, I’m only a bride once, so excuse my diva-syndrome. And for all of those who know me, a float is KEY to my weekend. I’m not a pro at swimming, aka, I still hold my nose. So laying out on a sweet little float with a cold drink in my hand is all I’m concerned about.
There’s a few things every bachelorette party needs, and you better believe CONFETTI is one of them. You also need a lot of fun accessories and decorations. Be yourself when planning your party, and find a way to decorate and celebrate, custom to your personality and your wedding. I firmly believe any party where you’re surrounded by your loved ones is a GREAT party. So I have no doubt that this weekend will be a blast even if there were zero decorations, champagne flutes and personalized bridal gear. But those things don’t hurt, either!
