Who’s ready for the last leg of the Triple Crown?

The Belmont Stakes takes place this Saturday, June 8th at Belmont Park in New York. So of course I’m covering a few trends to follow over the weekend and at the races. What Kentucky fashionista wouldn’t? If you ask me, we know our horse racing attire better than anyone. Similar to the Kentucky Derby, the Belmont Stakes calls for big hats, bow ties, and men and women dressed to the nines. If you take a look back into racing history you’ll see that the fashion is rich, elegant, and of upmost importance. Fast forward to today and this still holds true, however, as fashion has changed and evolved, so has the definition of racing style. If Belmont Fashion 2013 we’re solely up to me I’d bet on my tips and tricks to get you ladies through the day looking fabulous and finishing first!

My Belmont Fashion 2013 Tips:

1. Go for COLOR – it photographs better!

2. Keep with clean lines – streamlined dresses/skirts with trim are a must!

3. Shoot for a big-brimmed hat or a medium size fascinator – GO BIG OR GO HOME!
