North v. South: Black & White Combo

For the past few weeks these wonderful gals and myself have been brainstorming and brewing up a great collaboration that we have been itching to share. “North v. South” is challenging all 6 of us to put together outfits based on current trends. We will be collaborating for several more weeks, so keep an eye out on Fridays for our challenges.

This week’s challenge was black & white and we had to incorporate the neutrals into an ensemble that would well-represent the spring 2013 trend. I think we nailed it, don’t you? My look was based around a few basics in my closet. I’m a black & white kinda girl anyways, so this was quite a bit easier for me than some of the future challenges.

For anyone wanting to try the trend out, I recommend color-blocking with the two colors. For a simple look try a black blouse and white trousers. If you like prints, go for a black and white polka dot and have a little fun.
