I’ve always been a cardio addict, so it’s a given that in my early pregnancy, cardio is a major part of my workout routine. Running and walking are my favorite forms of exercise, so every day of the work week, I walk about 20 minutes at a fast pace on my home treadmill. And for those of you who follow me on social media, you know I walk to Wheel of Fortune, every single night.
Call me old school, but there’s nothing like “America’s Game” and a good ol’ sweat. After cardio, I’ve added in an arms circuit with my hand weights. I only use the 5 pound weights to do a circuit of 5 different arm exercises. Depending on my exhaustion level, I will do between 3 – 5 repetitions of this circuit. All together, my early pregnancy workout routine lasts about 45 minutes.
Considering I’m in two weddings right after I am due to give birth, I’m focusing on a healthy pregnant body, and a strong pregnant body. I also want to maintain a workout routine throughout my pregnancy to maintain muscle and energy. I think it’s crucial that me and my body are at our best for Baby Sharp.
Starting late last year, Fabletics is the only activewear I really like to wear. The quality, comfort, and durability of their pieces keep me coming back for more. I definitely intend to keep Fabletics apart of my workout wardrobe throughout my pregnancy, and sizing up when needed. Today’s set is a Medium, and fits perfectly. Plus, how cute are these leggings? You will definitely see me out of the house rocking this look.
I am no workout professional, in fact, most of my exercises are borrowed from my dear friend and personal trainer, Mike Krajewski. He taught me pretty much everything I know, especially when it comes to working on my upper body strength. If you guys are interested, I will keep you in the loop on my workout routines for the next 6 months of navigating pregnancy, and then post-pregnancy. Also, I will continue to share my Fabletics looks each month. And definitely tune in to my Instastories for all of my workout shenanigans.
