The Island Company story: Spencer Antle started Island Company in 2002. As founder and creative director, Antle transformed a part-time hobby into a worldwide resort collection of apparel and accessories. 

Over the  years, Island Company has evolved beyond women’s swimwear. Now, the focus is on being a lifestyle brand appealing to both men and women globally. Island Company is sold in hundreds of the top resorts and boutiques in the tropics and has a full collection of men’s and women’s linen and cotton clothing, classic women’s swimwear, men’s swim trunks and boardshorts, bags, accessories, and original lines of suncare and vintage sunglasses.

Island Company launched its own retail division, opening freestanding stores in Nantucket, Grand Cayman, Martha’s Vineyard, Palm Beach, Naples, and East Hampton.

Me + Island Company: So I definitely fell in love with the brand and their story. I am all for hobbies turned careers, and I am ALL for the Island Company motto: Quit your job, buy a ticket, get a tan, never return. I think we can all agree that this sounds ah-maz-ing. 

But most importantly, I fell in love with the Island Company product. The fit is outstanding, the make is fantastic, and the clothes are just beautiful. My very first Island Company item was the Bluebeard Classic Striped Linen Shirt.
