One of the many perks of living in the fashion center of the world, is all of the sample sales from designers’ runway shows and collection archives. And I think all I need to say is that I just experienced my very first one. Wait, did that just happen?

Why yes, we’re talking racks of samples, runway pieces, and one-of-a-kind items. The sale includes items that go back more than 10 years. I ended up walking away with two amazing finds, and who wouldn’t with prices ranging from $5 to $85. Thanks to the incredible Nanette Leopore sample sale, I am now the owner of two unique runway samples… and I still can’t believe the words are coming out of my mouth (or off of the keyboard to be precise).

I fell in love with this oversized, draped sleeve, printed number hanging in the middle of chaos. The colors are gorgeous and the print is insane! I knew it would fit a little bigger, but I enjoy the look it presents with leggings and boots. You better believe I’ll be wearing this in spring and summer, too.

So don’t hate on me if you see this guy appear a few more times…
