We’ve officially made it to week #5 of the North vs. South blogger challenge and this week we’re channeling our favorite spring accessory trends of 2013. One of my favorite trends this season is headwear and hair accessories. I spotted many gorgeous hair pieces at last month’s Coachella festival, and I just knew that I had to give this trend a try. With my bangs I was fearful that I may not be able to pull the look off, but I ended up liking this gorgeous, lace headband more with my hairstyle.

I decided to style my new, lace headband with a basic maxi and my beloved jean jacket. For an easy-going, street look I chose a wedge sandal and minimal jewels to finish the look. I think the hair piece definitely speaks for itself, and that was the goal.
