First things first… these TIGHTS! Take a second to check the amazing design detail.

These are my newest Discover Pique tights and I absolutely could not wait to wear. However, I wanted to present myself with a little challenge. Knowing me, I would have skipped on a fun print top and gone with solid black when styling these tights. My goal was to mix in a few prints, textures, and colors with the tights and see what I came up with.

If you aren’t having fun with your style, then what’s the point?

Living in NYC has opened my eyes to dimensional style. I’ve always been a little apprehensive of mixing prints and I tend to stick close to my  matchy-matchy ways. Since everyone else in this NYC crowd is trying to stand out too,  I’m challenging myself to find new ways to dress with a new perspective while remaining true my roots at the same time.

I know these tights are busy but the design is incredible and slightly funky (which I like). And,  while the city still has quite the chill outside I’ll be styling these with my warmer layers and try a few other prints with them too. Looking ahead into warmer months, I can see these tights with a denim short and an oxford shoe.
