Oh my goodness I am ready for spring, and I highly I doubt I’m the only one! But for now, I’m still depending on my outwear, layers, and accessories to bring the heat. Literally!

One of my new favorite layering pieces may be debatable for some. Wearing crosses has become highly fashionable within the past year. It’s a statement of Christianity yet it also represents chic fashion, the sometimes gothic trend, and is noticed quite often on city streets.

As of late the cross symbol is popping up in many designer collections and stores, but it is also impacting the jewelry world. Today we see the cross drawn on t-shirts, outerwear, shorts, studded embellishments, on rings or necklaces… It can often appear inverted, with patters or in an all-black simple design!

I approached the street-style trend lightly. I found this embellished, army-green cross top at Forever 21 and decided to give it a go. What do you guys think for this day and age? Chic or controversial? (Leave a comment below!)
