Thrifted Red Dress

JACKET | DRESS similar | BOOTS

Brought back my favorite thrifted red dress, just in time for the warm weather over the weekend. This little red dress was no more than $5 at a small vintage shop in New York City, yet when I wear it, I feel like a million bucks. I guess that’s the perk of thrifting after all.

I love the midi length of this piece, but to change it up, I tied my red dress with a front knot detail and styled it pretty simply. I’m wearing my trusty moto jacket and studded boots to give this look an edgy feel. That’s my favorite way to style outfits right now, so I apologize in advance for the non-edgy fans.

I firmly believe that all of these pieces would be beneficial to your wardrobe, and I encourage all of you to get out and go thrifting one weekend this spring. It’s such a fun and therapeutic kind of retail therapy. I love picking out “another’s trash” and envisioning how I will wear it. I can’t wait to wear this thrifted red dress again this spring, and I intend to style it differently for you all, so you can see how versatile a $5 dress can be.

XO, ALEX

  1. That’s a gorgeous dress! When I was in high school I used to go to thrift stores with my friends and I’d find some pretty good gems in there but now I barely even know where I can find a thrift store. I think it’s great to buy and reuse clothes, it’s such a polluting industry, we need to do our part in helping with that. Definitely gonna visit my local thrift store soon.

    1. That sounds like something I would love! Thrifting is so fun!
