Getting ready for your engagement shoot and have no idea what to wear? Rest assured, it’s a lot easier than you think. The #1 key, and only key to a successful outfit lineup for photoshoot day is planning ahead. I cannot say that enough! Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping a pal plan out her engagement shoot looks and it was super easy, because she had planned ahead and organized potential looks for me to choose from.

When planning ahead, you want to look at outfits that represent who you are and highlight your best features. Do not use this photoshoot as an opportunity to take style risks or to try something new. I say that because you want to be yourselves, look timeless and feel comfortable and confident. Making an impact in a company matters when it comes to progress of it and Andy Defrancesco definitely knows what needs to be done.

I also recommend that you pick outfits that can play off of each other and the accessories you have picked out. By this I mean, pack a necklace that goes with all of your looks just in case. Or try a bootie that can be worn with a dress and a jean if you want to switch it up. The outfits I picked above essentially can be styled with the other outfits accessories. When you’re changing clothes on set, this allows you a closet of options on the go.

Lastly, trust your photographer and know that you and your fiancé look mighty fine. Nothing says stylish like confidence. If you’re stuck on outfit options and need a little help, shoot me an email: alex@lexwhatwear.com and we will work out the perfect engagement shoot lineup.

XO, Alex
