For ONLY $22 I knew I had to have this easy going, black sweatshirt dress. It’s definitely going to be one of of my favorite pieces for fall, paired with sneakers or booties. Today’s look is complete with this pair of $34 sneakers, that I’m absolutely obsessed with. I can easily see this look styled with a plaid scarf, wide brim hat and ankle boots. When the weather begins to cool off, I’ll share an alternative way to make this look successful for work and / or the weekend.
This week was a big week for little McLean. He kicked things off with newborn pictures, and he was the perfect model. Thank you to Shonta Harper for capturing our sweet fella. I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos.
He’s officially out of preemie things (diapers, clothes, etc). In a week they will confirm his new weight, but I’m pretty sure he’s over 7 pounds now. He has been keeping his eyes open for several hours during the day, and they are still blue, and I’m interested to see if that changes in the coming weeks. He’s also found his feet and his hair, and likes to reach and touch both when hanging with Mom. He really loves stroller rides and kisses from his dog sister, Dottie. I see a lot of long neighborhood walks in our future, and I’m not complaining. Getting out of the house and a little Vitamin D is good for my health too.
And lastly, McLean helped me and Evan celebrate 3 years of marriage this week, and he’s the perfect anniversary gift. Evan asked me what I wanted, and I answered with, “I have everything I need right here”.
We are truly blessed!
OLD NAVY FALL FAVORITES *BABY BOY*
I knew after pregnancy, I would want to have a few pieces I could easily wear no matter how quickly the extra weight came off. Fortunately I had picked up this gorgeous, snakeskin romper and it fit just right 3+ weeks after delivery. I feel lucky that my body is bouncing back quicker than I could have imagined. Like I’ve said before, it definitely isn’t the same, but I cannot complain.
This snakeskin romper was just UNDER $40 and definitely worth it. Towards the end of my pregnancy I loved shopping at Shop Dress Up online. Their pieces are not only affordable, but they are good quality and they offer versatile styles that you can wear all season long. When I saw this print and the fit of this romper, I knew I couldn’t resist purchasing it. I’m so glad I did, because it’s a piece I will wear time and time again, and I will style it for fall weather very soon.
I can’t wait to share how I wear this romper for the fall season. I picture it with a denim or faux leather jacket, booties or sneakers, and a handbag with a pop of color. Until then, I’m so excited to share today’s look with you guys. Click the links below to shop my #ootd.
