Plaid Scarf Tutorial

Turn Your Everyday Shirt Into The Perfect Scarf…

With 3 Easy Steps

Many of you saw me do it for Fashion Week HERE, and with the response I got, I’m doing it again with a little DIY tutorial. As you can see, the shirt/dress scarf is super, duper, EASY. All you have to do is follow these 3 steps:

#1 Pick a shirt (any shirt) that has a print that will match your outfit.

#2 Button up the shirt, leaving one button un-done, and put your head through, but not your arms.

#3 Tie the sleeves however you want. This is how you get the scarf out of the shirt. I typically knot my sleeves to mimic a long scarf.

As you see below, this is a simple way of getting the most bang for your buck with your wardrobe. I seriously use this trick majority of the work week. From printed blouses, to flannel shirts, I can make a scarf out of anything. This season, you’ll want to layer perfectly, so why not try it out? Drop me a message → alex@lexwhatwear.com if you need a few more pointers! xx
