Big Apple Weekend
ONE FOR THE BOOKS
This past weekend was another BIG weekend, one I’ll remember all of my days. Not only was my Dad up to visit me in the city, but my friends and roommate gave me the most amazing gift: a going away party that I will never forget. Yes, yes, that means I am moving from New York, but more on that at another time. My life for now, is a whirlwind of fun in the city I have called home for the past 3 years. Stay tuned for the final, fun adventures in the Big Apple.

HIDDEN LITTLE GEM
When you find yourself living in the biggest city where you interact or pass by thousands of humans every day, you are often met with an overwhelming feeling only a few can relate to. So what do you do when you’re surrounded by the best of the best when it comes to restaurants, and wine or dive bars? You seek out the secret spots that are rare to come by, and very few know about. Why? Because it’s calm, cool and collected amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. Last night we found Hi Bar, atop the 6 Hotel in Columbus Circle, only steps from our Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. From the roof deck you can look out into the East Side skyline and over the busy streets beneath. And when you find a place that’s special enough, you write about it and share it with the blog world. Okay maybe I made that last part up, but I thought it was cool enough to share!

A LITTLE OYSTERS & WINE
For Evan’s last night in the city, we took to Battery Park to enjoy a little boat watching, a bottle of Malbec and the most perfect fresh oysters at Pier A. It was a beautiful night overlooking the water and Lady Liberty. The company wasn’t too bad either I should mention. Not too long after our Oysters and wine, did we surprise ourselves with a trip up to the top of One World Trade. More to come on that tomorrow (it needs its own post, trust me).
