I still can’t believe Mac turned 2 on August 1st. He is the best little boy, calm and sweet, and always happy! I knew after last year, we were going to go all out for his birthday party. Mac is obsessed with airplanes, and waves at them every time they fly over our house in Nashville, TN. He beams with such joy when he hears an airplane in the air, and jumps up and down with excitement. When it came to planning, I knew exactly what to do…
For this airplane loving boy, I started with the basics. Considering our house is fairly narrow, I knew I had to keep the party small, but the decorations big. I wanted to have a station for the kids to play too, so I set up play passports with stamps and stickers for them to decorate and take home. The main display table was complete with a balloon arch (kit from Amazon), vintage airplanes, candy that matched the color scheme, traditional airplane snacks, and some handmade artwork by Mac himself. I’ve linked everything I purchased for this display area, and others around the house for you all HERE. You can also click on the images below to shop the party.
The cake was everything I had hoped for from Baked on 8th here in Nashville. One of my best gals printed pictures of mac to hang on cotton ball clouds from balloons. It was one of the most special touches of the entire day. The clouds in the sky looked so perfect with the party decor. I wish I had captured a better photo, but you can see a video recap of the entire party HERE. It was the most magical day celebrating Mac. I would do it all over again if I could!
