I see every new day in NYC as an opportunity to be adventurous and to show my Kentucky-based style, explore new styles, and find a way to remain true to myself all at the same time. Finding the appropriate balance seems a little difficult at first, but I am attempting to open my eyes and closet doors to a lot of new, as well as holding onto a lot of old (for comfort’s sake).
As any NYC newcomer knows, it is a must to take advantage of weekends to venture out and about. So this past weekend, my new roomie (who I adore) and I just happened to stumble upon the ZARA seasonal SALE. (Bad…very bad idea.) Upon first seeing the word “SALE” we were immediately drawn in. Then we just happened to stumble upon a table of leather and leopard-accented tees marked way, way down.
To show off my good shopping fortune, I paired one of my finds – this ZARA leopard blouse – with some of the older pieces I keep holding onto. Everything besides the leopard blouse is a closet oldie. The necklace even goes back to my college days. Just an example of how to make a modern look from basics out of your existing wardrobe.
Have a good one y’all!
