Yes it’s snowing… can you see my excitement? I mean can’t a girl just get some spring weather?

On to more important things; let’s talk camo for a second. A few weeks ago I discussed the trend and its rise in popularity. So I decided I’d cave in and buy a camo basic to style on the blog. I know my boyfriend is wondering where my bright orange and rifle are for the pic, but I am not a hunter (yikes) so I’ll just stick to blogging for now.

Lex What Wear Rule: If you’re going to wear camo, wear it one piece at a time. For instance, add in a camo scarf to a neutral outfit or try a camo pant with a simple black shirt. Basically, when attempting this trend you do NOT want to do head-to-toe camo. In this case, less is more ladies!

Think street style, not deer stand. I styled this top with neutral colors (black & denim) as well as adding in hints of gold to bring out the lighter tones of the print. Personally, I think gold accents with camo is simply gorgeous. This outfit is about clean and simple lines to balance the bold print (less is more approach).
