Time To Wear Your Best Dress & Heels
… Onsesies, florals, denim, and sandals
Let’s kiss that snow goodbye once and for all. It’s time for bold color, big prints, and beautiful spring weather. At the start of each season I totally re-organize my closet. I start by separating my wardrobe into “toss” and “keep” and then the strategizing begins…
How can I reuse and recycle my favorites from a year ago, and bring them new meaning?
That’s the general question for my ritual season clean out. This spring, I plan to take those key pieces I left in the “keep” pile and accessorize them in a new way. Like below, I have a few old jumpsuits that I can easily pair with my trusty denim jacket. I’ll invest in a cost friendly, new pair of sandals or a bag to spruce it up. And like that, I have an old outfit with a brand new life. #SPRINGFEVER
I can hardly resist staying off their website for more than a week… it’s just that good! Even better is when you stumble upon a Soho Bauble Bar event, and just so happened to have a spare 20 minutes to spend filtering through the piles of jewelry goodness. From new collection pieces to old Bauble Bar favorites, the styling event was packed with items to my liking, plus more: a photo booth, a complimentary bar, chocolates, and other fabulous vendors with bags and such. So of course I whipped about the handy Iphone (should have had my camera) and snapped a few pics to share.
Insert a “pinch me moment” here: It’s not everyday that you get to be in a city that hosts some of the best and biggest brands in the world. It was a rare experience for a KY girl to attend such a cool styling event. That being said, I didn’t leave empty handed. I snatched this under $40 AMAZING piece and had to take a selfie (below).
It’s finally spring in the city and that means I’m going exploring every opportunity I can get. Navigating the streets of NYC provides ample opportunity for a few obvious things including: great shopping — amazing food — lots of calorie burning — and more shopping! Of course there is also great architecture, celeb stalking, famous hot-spots, and all of that good stuff, but clearly my #1 priority is the shopping, duh…
One of my FAVORITE pop-up-shops in Meatpacking District is the infamous Bauble Bar. Before moving to NYC I was drooling over every single Bauble Bar wow piece via BaubleBar.com. Only a few blocks away from my current local I can now obsess over Bauble Bar designs in person (talk about a major accessory moment). And now you may wonder if this is healthy for my shop-aholic issues… and I’ll go ahead and say, “absolutely not!” But hey, it’s all apart of this thing we call a learning experience… that’s my excuse anyway.
So to prevent a typical Lex What Wear splurge-spending moment, I’m reeling myself in and making a list my Bauble Bar musts and sharing it with all. Yes, list making is good for all of us in shopping/splurging moments, so give it a try!
Now here’s what I HAVE TO HAVE…
