Far too often I take the easy road when getting dressed in the morning. It’s less work to walk in my closet blindly, pick one top, style it simply, and look basic all day long. In the New Year I’m making it a goal to be more planned out when it comes to what I put on each day. I hereby declare 2020 to be the year of a more organized approach to getting dressed.
Even if it’s a casual winter outfit like this one, I at least feel like I’ve put effort into my style. This look is perfect for a day at the office, and / or grabbing cocktails with a few girlfriends. That rarely happens with a 4 month old, so I’m more likely to to wear this outfit to work.
All that said, outfit planning for me is about a few key pieces and their versatility. Every piece I’m wearing in this casual winter outfit is a key piece in my wardrobe, and is super versatile. Not to mention every piece I’m wearing is affordable.
So here’s to looking ahead to a new year, a new approach, and a new style!
