We may have missed a few weeks (due to travel), but we’re slowly getting back in the swing of things here at the Sharp house. McLean is now 11 weeks old, and he’s just the cutest thing ever. Over the past few weeks he learned to smile and laugh a little, and is getting so good at holding his head up. Mom is about to go back to work, so we are busy soaking up every single second of our time together. I can’t imagine leaving him during the day, but I know it will be so good for him to be around other babies.
McLean absolutely loved Kentucky and can’t wait to go back. He met so many friends over the last few weeks and was able to go for walks with his T, and get lots of great grandparent snuggles. It was quite the accomplishment for Mom to drive all the way to Lexington from Nashville with McLean by herself… let me tell you, I was a nervous mess. McLean slept for about 90% of the ride, and was ready to eat by the time we hit Versailles. I was so proud of him for being such a good passenger.
Since we’ve updated you last, McLean got his shots and handled those like a pro. He barely even cried and pleasantly surprised the pediatrician with his toughness. After hitting the 2 month mark, I’ve started to notice a little personality forming. He has the cutest fake cry that I ever did hear, and he knows exactly how to get picked up and held all day. He’s a smart cookie, and loves to move, A LOT. He’s quite the squirmy guy, and keeps us all on our toes.
I can tell you this, I never knew I would love something or someone like I do him. He is the light of our lives, and Evan and I are just so crazy about him. I think I might not let him grow up. Joking, but not really.
